What does it mean to navigate? How effective is doing so with intention? Here are a few pointers to maneuver through your emotions with intention.
Let’s get to the root, you have to first be willing to sit with your emotions and triggers in order to effectively navigate through them. Make the decision to face whatever it is that you’ve suppressed, created a defensive shield for, and have not taken accountability for yet. Now set your intention, WHAT IS YOUR GOAL WHEN IT COMES TO NAVIGATING YOUR PAIN? WHY ARE YOU NOW LOOKING FOR MORE POSITIVE WAYS TO MANAGE THESE ‘HINDERING’ EMOTIONS?
There is no right or wrong answer, there is only YOUR answer. Sometimes you are not at the point of accepting what is and releasing control, that is perfectly fine. The best lessons come out of those storms but you have to be willing to analyze the tough times in order to get to the point of positively navigating your pain with intention.
You know when enough is enough, you know when you no longer want to be a slave to your negative shifting emotions, you know when you are ready to take back control of all that is in your control while releasing all of which is out of your control.
Shifting your perspective is essential when it comes to positively navigating your pain, this is where things get uncomfortable. This is the part of your journey where you must be willing to take accountability and responsibility for what you’ve allowed to anchor down at your feet, sinking you in a loop of negative impacting actions or lack there of.
What does it mean to navigate? To plan, direct, or plot the path or position of something.
What does it mean to be intentional? Being purposeful and mindful in your actions, and making choices that align with your values and goals.
Understanding the definition of these words will provide a clear canvas for you to work on. Why now? Knowing why you want to find better ways to manage your pain, behavioral patterns and reactions to triggers will provide you with the basis of your purpose for wanting change while adding substance to the plan towards your desired goal on the journey. Sit with these findings and begin to pay close attention to when those emotions rise again to then redirect them in the best way you see fit. Analyzing previous occurrences will allow you to clearly see when these emotions rise again and provide you clearer understanding to WHAT creates those reactions. That is when you will begin to crack the code on finding balance in your life, perfect harmony.
Navigating with intention is the key to overcoming. If you are not clear on why or what you want, you will continue to repeat cycles in your life that seem to bring chaos. The theme for this year is intentionality, which can be defined as, an attitude of purposefulness with a commitment to deliberate action. Move with intention in all that you do and watch the positive shift it has on your life, this all starts with learning and standing firm on what you want out of each aspect of your life. Although this is an ongoing process through life, being grounded in your intentions will serve as a guide as you navigate through life’s lessons.
