Don’t let that go over your head
Thinking outside the box requires knowledge of the limitations within
Don’t let that go over your head
Know your worth inside and out highlights your Melanin, grasping the soul within and exploiting it out
Don’t let that go over your head
Take my words as wisdom as I’ve been in your shoes, feeling the weight of our oppression anchor down by my feet. I stand tall as a young BLACK woman fighting to love my purpose, fist up hoodie on with my knees cringing, even so I kick down these walls with pride creating my path, as it storms I don’t lose sight, when it mists I don’t cry I fight my way through the fog arriving extremely early not a scratch or a pinch, just a young BLACK girl with big dreams and no fears, pass me my crown, another BLACK Queen has arrived, at the outside of the BOX !
Don’t let that go over your head.
Signed,
Dashana Robinson-Vailes
