They say check on your strong friends, I mean you can check but will the gangsta in them allow that vulnerability ?

That’s the tricky part.

Given all they’ve bottled up, given all the make up they used to cover up the scars, given the constant Betrayal.

It can go either way.

The questions arises like the blossoming of leaves in the spring: will they understand? Can they relate? Do they really care? Can they handle my truth? How can they even understand? Can they walk a block in my shoes? In my emotions? Am I strong? Can I handle it on my own? Should I see a shrink?

Nah, I’m good, I’ve been good on my own.

The toughest ones are usually the ones who’ve perfected the cover up, who’ve found techniques to get over it in a blink of an eye. They’re also usually the ones with a short temper. They’re usually the person who’s over protective of the ones they love.

This Broken Hearted Gangsta is me. My outlet is writing & I’ve decided to share with you, no I don’t need to talk about it, at least not yet. When I find the right words I’ll come to you to vent. I just need YOU to understand it may be overwhelming and you may not have the answers just show compassion, listen and shit cry with me if it comes to that.

Hopefully I’m ready before I self destruct.
