Mothers

At times I am too loyal to my demands of myself when it comes to writing. Yesterday I let that break a bit, I decided to put all my energy into assuring the Mothers in my household had a great seafood dinner, skipping a post day simply enjoying family time.

It was great energy and delicious food. We laughed, joked and played cards; all of the things this family was built on. In the kitchen early morning, making store runs for missing ingredients and blasting music brought me back to childhood when the heart of our family would have card games, My aunt Lavonne.

May she Rest In Peace, you are the foundation of motherhood in this family, we all think back to you in times like these. You were right there with us in spirit, candle lit and shots going around. All too inspiring, I envision our family home building up the strength of our family traditions.

I want to take today to let all Mothers know that you are amazing, you are doing great and you are appreciated. To all my fellow godmothers, we are to celebrate this day along side the mothers because of our role and responsibilities. We too are a important role in the lives of the children, we are doing our best as well and we are that backbone support in the raising of the children.
